I am a VIP

One of the two positions I hold this academic term is the Volunteer Incentive Program (VIP) Coordinator for the Student Volunteer Bureau. Part of my duties in this position is the planning and hosting of the annual VIP Recognition Event.

This year was the third annual awards ceremony and for the second year in a row we held it at Government House. His Honor, the Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, Ed Roberts presided over the ceremony and presented each of the VIP’s with their awards. This year we had 39 awardees and a total of 45 different awards where some people have accomplished two levels in one year. I also received my Bronze level award at this event as well as announced the other awardees. Here is a picture of me getting my award from his Honor.

This was a team effort on behalf of the Student Volunteer Bureau but it went off with out a hitch.
