So BK has extended the time frame of the donation drive by 24 hours. I am starting to think the site won’t go down because people are willing to donate to the site every time it gets in trouble. I do however feel that the owner is taking great personal risk in this venture. At $250 a month, it will be a short 8 months till he has his visa maxed and needs to pay it off. What happens if the user base does not come forth with the money? He has to pay it from his pockets and at the risk of not being able to make the required minimum payments. Since he is a student I doubt he has a large income to speak of.
I do however stand by my assertion that BK should look for sustained revenue streams, not rely on users good will.
